Am I completely off-base or just misguided? Am I the only one who believes that addressing these issues requires serious consequences for the oligarchs and our elected officials? The phrase “power is not given, it is taken” highlights that authority must be actively pursued and will not be handed to us. Gaining power requires effort and action.

This concept encourages a proactive approach, urging individuals to take initiative rather than waiting for power to be freely offered. Actively “taking” power represents personal agency and determination, especially in discussions about unequal power dynamics, as it calls for challenging the status quo and fighting for one’s rightful position.

Die screaming, motherfucker.

“When you are old and nearing the end of your life, and everyone has turned away from you,” evokes a feeling of deep isolation, as those once close have distanced themselves, leaving you abandoned and unsupported. I urge you to take the power to change from me, but do so with respect; otherwise, you align yourself with the enemy. As Charlie said in “The Long Kiss Goodnight,” “Die screaming, motherfucker.”

What do you think I have to live for in these final days? Should I go quietly into the night, or should I rage against the dying light? What’s your view, you political ass? I need just one opportunity to complete this task.

Am I just blowing smoke? I’ve exited the field and feel old. My body works but is strained; my mind is foggy, and my joints ache. Perhaps I am just a grumpy old man. Yet, I still see what’s happening: the sins of our so-called leaders and their unworthy offspring. We waited too long, mesmerized by the preacher’s song. They called us to be peacemakers, to live for God, yet they reached deep into our pockets, leaving us heartbroken, and the pennies will soon be gone.

Isn’t that a hell of a hill to die on?

Are you gonna pull those pistols or whistle Dixie?

I will accept my sins, nailed to the cross, and I’ll acknowledge my losses on the tumultuous sea tossed. But in these low and gray days, I swear that they will pay. Vengeance is mine; they say it’s the Lord’s way. So, take it before I do—I implore. If not by God above, then by our own hands. The time has come; it is time to stand.

When will you listen? When will You stand?

Well, are you?
