It is with a fervent heart and an unwavering spirit that I address my fellow women of this great nation. We stand on the precipice of opportunity—a moment enriched by our collective struggles, victories, and aspirations for a brighter, more equitable future. Yet, I am compelled to highlight a disheartening reality: the lack of steadfast support from some progressive women’s groups and vociferous feminists for all women striving for progress in governance and the workplace.

In our relentless pursuit of equality, we must be mindful of the insidious nature of envy that can arise in the hearts of those who should stand as our allies. It is often remarked that no one hates a successful woman more than another woman, and it is a somber truth that requires our utmost attention. If we are ever to advance—if we are to grasp the very rights and honors we so ardently seek—we must cultivate an environment of solidarity that transcends petty rivalries and upholds the sisterhood we so herald.

Sisters, we have fought valiantly for our voices to be heard and our rights to be acknowledged. Yet, there are occasions when our progress is met not with support and celebration, but with derision and dismissal. It is disheartening to witness the very women who should champion our successes instead cast scorn upon those who rise through the ranks based on talent, competence, and hard work—qualities we have all strived to nurture within ourselves.

Let us remember that our battles for suffrage, for parity in pay, and for representation in the halls of power were not fought so that we could engage in competition among ourselves based on social ideology. Instead, they were fought so that all women might flourish without the shackles of historical oppression. It is time we set aside our differences, for the true enemy of every woman’s advancement remains the societal structures that perpetuate inequality.

It is not enough that we demand space at the table; we must encourage one another to flourish in whatever role we pursue. When a woman achieves a noteworthy position, it ought to serve as inspiration rather than resentment. For when one woman succeeds, it elevates all women. It casts a light upon the path forward, illuminating the struggles each of us endures daily.

I entreat my fellow progressive women’s groups to foster an environment that nurtures every voice, including those that may not echo the prevailing political tides. The suffragists of our past knew that the cause transcended any singular perspective or ideology; they united, recognizing the beauty of diverse thoughts, backgrounds, and experiences. This same spirit must guide us now.

As we reflect on the gains we have made, let us not falter in our collective quest for justice and equality. For true feminism is rooted in the understanding that all women are deserving of respect and opportunity, irrespective of their differing beliefs. We must cultivate an unwavering sisterhood that supports every woman’s right to redefine her destiny.

It is time to rise above jealousy and division—to rally for one another and recognize that our strength lies in unity. Together, we can pave the way for future generations of women who will undoubtedly face their own battles. Together, we can champion a world where every woman is celebrated for her achievements rather than judged for the paths she has taken.

Let us champion each other, stand together, and declare with resolute conviction that every woman’s success is a victory for all women. It is through this commitment to shared progress that we shall fulfill the promise of our fight for equality. Together, let us amplify our voices, reinforce our resolve, and continue the noble work toward a future where every woman can thrive in honor and dignity.

In unity and in strength, we will succeed.
