They came for L.A. with boots, batons, and body armor. They called it “order.” We saw occupation.
While California cried out for dignity—while families stood up against raids and disappearances—Trump sent in the California National Guard, under federal command. Not to protect us. To control us.
Let’s be clear: This is what authoritarianism looks like in America.
They fired tear gas into crowds. They pushed elders to the pavement. A 60-year-old British photojournalist took a “less-lethal” round to the head (The Times, 2025). Peaceful protestors stood their ground while the government flexed its boots and bullets.
And Trump? He watched. Then bragged. Then threatened more—hinting the Marines could follow if people didn’t “settle down” (Bild, 2025).
Governor Newsom called it unconstitutional. Mayor Bass called it a disaster waiting to happen (The Guardian, 2025). Legal experts are scrambling to find precedent—and finding none (Washington Post, 2025).

This is the same man who watched the Capitol burn and said nothing. The same man convicted in court—and re-elected by people too scared of change to stand up for justice.

And still—we rise.
Occupy 2.5 STANDS WITH CALIFORNIA. We don’t beg. We organize.
