Von einem NATO-Schild, der euch Milliarden für Verteidigung erspart hat. Von einem Handelspartner, der eure Autos, Maschinen und Chemieprodukte verschlungen hat wie warme Semmeln.

Aber was passiert, wenn die USA zerbrechen?

Wenn ein faschistisches Regime dort die Macht festigt, Menschenrechte mit Füßen tritt, Allianzen zerstört und eine paranoide Außenpolitik betreibt?

Eure Wirtschaft wird das spüren. Kein sicherer Markt mehr. Keine verlässliche Währung. Handelspartner, die zu geopolitischen Waffen werden. Größere Flüchtlingsbewegungen aus Lateinamerika und der Karibik, weil Washington Diktatoren stützt.

Und eure Moral?

Ihr wollt „Nie wieder“ sagen – aber bei jedem neuen Despoten im Westen schweigen? Nur die Handelsbilanz zählen, während Demokratie stranguliert wird?

Ich bin nicht hier, um euch zu schmeicheln. Ich flehe euch nicht an. Ich fordere euch auf: Nutzt euren wirtschaftlichen und diplomatischen Einfluss. Macht Druck. Hört auf, nur mit Parteieliten zu verhandeln, die ihre eigene Bevölkerung verraten haben. Sucht die echte Opposition – Gewerkschaften, Journalisten, Graswurzelbewegungen, die noch kämpfen. Unterstützt die Amerikaner*innen, die versuchen, diese Katastrophe aufzuhalten.

Denn wenn ihr es jetzt nicht tut, werdet ihr später zahlen. Mit Geld. Mit Chaos. Und mit eurem Gewissen.

🇺🇸 Germany’s Responsibility: No Profit Without Principles

I’m going to say this without sugarcoating: Germany has profited enormously from the American system. From the export boom underpinned by the dollar. From NATO’s security shield saving you billions in defense costs. From a trade partner devouring your cars, machinery, and chemicals like candy.

But what happens if the U.S. fractures?

If a fascist regime consolidates power there — trampling human rights, destroying alliances, pursuing a paranoid, hostile foreign policy?

Your economy will feel it. No safe market. No reliable currency. Trade partners turning into geopolitical weapons. Even bigger refugee flows from Latin America and the Caribbean as Washington props up dictators.

And your moral standing?

You want to say “Never Again,” but stay silent for every new strongman in the West? Count the trade balance while democracy is strangled?

I’m not here to flatter you. I’m not begging. I’m demanding: Use your economic and diplomatic leverage. Apply pressure. Don’t just cut deals with party elites who’ve sold out their own people. Look for the real resistance — unions, journalists, grassroots organizers who are still fighting. Support the Americans trying to stop this catastrophe.

Because if you don’t do it now, you’ll pay later. In money. In chaos. And on your conscience.
